In this role, we expect full ownership, accountability, and leadership presence. The General Manager leads from the front, communicates clearly, and holds themselves and the team to a high standard. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining systems, and creating consistency across the business. This role requires confidence in sales, with the ability to lead conversations, follow processes, and drive growth through service-focused selling. Above all, we expect a people-first mindset—someone who genuinely cares about clients, develops staff, protects the culture, and reinforces Movement Fitness’ core values daily. A growth-oriented mentality is essential, with a willingness to seek feedback, adapt quickly, and improve continuously while helping the business and team move forward.

Most working hours will take place during daytime business hours, with the expectation of one early morning and one evening per week. The General Manager will also attend occasional events, networking groups, and community functions, which may require some local travel and schedule flexibility. This role is best suited for someone who values autonomy, can manage their time effectively, and understands that leadership occasionally extends beyond standard office hours.
